UK band HOLLAND was formed in Cleveland, United Kingdom in 1982, and consisted of Marty Wilkinson (vocals), Kenny Nicholson (guitars), Bob Henman (guitars), Graeme Hutchinson (bass) and Marty Day (drums).
They were signed by semi-legendary record label Ebony Records, who issued their one and only album in 1984. Or rather, the only production they released using the Holland moniker.
It transpired that a Canadian band was named Holland as well, and when they warned that they were willing to take legal action over the choice of band name, the UK-based version decided it was easier to change names, and would issue one more album as Hammer prior to disbanding.
