I've found the search feature on the PA front page a great tool when navigating the site and forums, and I'd like to see it here too. Any plans? Or is it there already and I'm just not seeing it? Embarrassed

Nope its not there. mailto:M@X - M@X assured me that it was coming though. Its also one of the features I use the most on PA.

We have it already "coded", we wait until all the site is "indexed" by google.

On way to check it to use this query in google.com "site:www.metalmusicarchives.com" , unless their is all the bands and albums listed in those results we won't activate it, I suppose 5-7 days TOP.

another problem I find is that you can't view all bands listed in a specific genre, or is there another way.

I know of the alphabet to list all in general, but I'm talking about all bands listed to a chosen sub genre by the user.

There are artists lists by sub genre. In a sub genre page, there is a More artists link bellow the LATEST ARTISTS section.

Example: http://www.metalmusicarchives.com/black-metal%28subgenre%29--artists.aspx - http://www.metalmusicarchives.com/black-metal(subgenre)--artists.aspx
