Bafoussam Massangam from Cameroon (black metal) but you will hardly find any info on them in the internet. Here is a review for french-speaking people :

| The thing with South Africa is that most rock bands or artists coming from there are white, like Manfred Mann or Trevor Rabin - the black artists play music that is more rooted in their own tradition. |

Wow! Thats awesome, I've always wondered the same as well. But the obvious ones I think of are Arabic/Middle Eastern "Upper" part of Africa, where ALOT of Metal is growing (Thanks I'm sure to " http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acrassicauda - Acrassicauda " from the Documentary "Heavy Metal in Baghdad").
