I'm going to blow my own trumpet a bit here and suggest 2 bands for inclusion that I used to be the drummer in.
Fast Kutz released an album (Burnin') on UK metal label Ebony records in 1987 and went on to record a second as yet unreleased album, also for Ebony. Cool cover huh!
   I would suggest power metal as a suitable home.
Black Rose (UK) were a NWOBHM band active throughout the eighties, releasing 2 albums and a number of singles. they started off playing metal in the NWOBHM tradition before later changing to a more Americanised metal style.
I'd be happy to write bio's, supply info, pics etc if required.
