this is a 70-30 proposition in my mind... came up when discussing Sammy Hagar was suggested that I suggest it here for inclusion.

very influential group on metal... and enough 'metal' to perhaps stand on it's own.

What do you guys think . . .

I suggested Vai for a "Guitar Soloist" or "Shredder" sub-catagory, so why not him, Sammy and Gary Moore
(his Metal years) with the HUGE amount of Shredders thats out there. Montrose has "Solo" Albums as
well as his Hard Rock Band "Gamma" from years ago(A few Metal and Proggy tinges in it too).

I have been thinking of Gary Moore as well - I am a huge fan of his, and am quite familiar with his 'metal' years. However, as I said in the stickied thread at the top of this category, for the time being we'd better hold off any addition that might prove controversial. We need to establish ourselves in the Internet world first of all, and avoid the mistakes made on ProgArchives as regards the addition policy. As to the creation of new sub-genres or subcategories, see my post in the 'Math Metal' thread.

Raff... Gary moore? Yes, Gary moore... Gary Moore 80's heavy music... Please me... Yes, metal.

But 90's Blues production? ...Metal... Clearly not! Ten Years After was more Metal, in my opinion!

Hmmm... I'm OT... Excuse me!!!

Gary Moore's "After the War" is pretty much a metal release. Also, the close-down of non-metal reviews should actually prevent too many non-metal albums from popping up on the front page (like "Still Got the Blues" and all that business).
