acording to poll I saw in another site, it was highly aprooved that Trivium and Mastodon were both on the same dime of exelence. My best friends listen to Trivium a lot and frankly I don't get the incredible hype they get. To me it's generic metalcore riff after generic metalcore riff with a vocalist trying to imitate James Hetfield while still sounding like your average whining metalcore vocalist. I will give them credit for avoiding breakdown-itis for the most part that plagues the metalcore scene all too much.

No, they are not comparable. I can maybe see this if they're using Remission as the basis for their comparison, but even then, I'm not hearing it. Mastodon beats the stuffing out of Trivium in pretty much every category, anyway. |
