hmm Currently, the proto-metal team here has a long list of bands that collaborator "Certif1ed" is gradually working his way through and evaluating. IIRC he is in the middle of the letter C right now. I'm sure Humble Pie is on his list  |

Personally I wouldn't consider HP for proto metal, as they seem an obvious (and excellent) example of heavy blues-based Rock.
If we implement a Heavy Rock or Hard Rock category (and it's not impossible), then they'd be a perfect fit.

I agree. Would be a great addition to the heavy/hard sub-genre. It's possible.
