Book Review Guidelines

If you would like to review a metal-related book, please to use this section of the forum to share it.  To help readers track down the item which you are reviewing, please share as much information as possible.  Starting off a review with as much of the following information as you can find:

-         a photo of the book

-         title

-         the author(s)

-         the International Standard Book Number (ISBN)

-         the edition of the release

-         format/type of book (trade paperback, hardcover, audiobook, etc.)

-         link to the official website of the book (if available) is encouraged

For example, using the following format would works nicely for a review header:

 (Cover Image at the top)

Title:  Metal Music Archives The Book

Author(s): Lemmy God Kilmister

ISBN: 6666666666666

Edition:  1st edition

Format: Trade Paperback

Website:  http://www.metalmusicarchives.com/" rel="nofollow - http://www.metalmusicarchives.com/

Aside from that, just stick to the same guidelines you would follow when writing an album review (Found  http://www.metalmusicarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=180" rel="nofollow - here ).

You can give the book a star or numeric rating if you wish, but its up to you.

I have a question about this department. This is METAL MUSIC ARCHIVES and in that title there is nothing that indicates that it is strictly a review site for the music alone. Why can't we add books to the actually artistt's page or create a section of the site dedicated to books and metal magazines.

I just went through a bunch of old magazines and i found SOD (Sounds Of Death) Magazine along with old Hit Paraders and Circus etc. I think it would be fun to have a page dedicated to the different various media formats that helped spread the word and review albums before the internet usurped that throne.

I imagine that the problem is that the webmasters don't appear often enough to make changes like this but i'm bringing it up as an idea so that someday when the site has the chance to be spruced up and fine tuned a bit more that it is on the work table of possibilities.
