Something about Thrash and Alternative

Ill ask the alternative team to look at this. Ive taken a listen and I dont hear enough thrashy elements to warrant an inclusion in thrash metal. Mind Prisoner certainly belong here on MMA if you ask me though. Its just a matter of placing them IMO.

II'm not too good to deal with this forum

its difficult to define a genre, it's too subjective thing, but what thrashy elements in my opinion lacks))

I think they're more in between trad. metal and alt. metal than thrash metal. They're pretty good though. I checked out some of their songs the other day, and I liked them a lot.

This is their first album. It seems that first is not bad. in their country is very difficult to play music in general, the system oppresses. not to mention good music

Does anyone know where i can place a link_ for people to professionally evaluate these guys?

The alternative team is evaluating at the moment. Be patient and wait for their decision. The band will pretty surely be added but we need to find the right place before we add them.

They're definitely going to be included on the site, but I'd say Alt is not the right place for them either. I think they'd fit well in Traditional, I've asked the team to take a look.

Do you mean the quality of the production or the quality of the music itself?

The sound was pretty damn good as were the songs. I listened to the streaming album from the band's website and liked it enough to download the free tracks from Last.fm. Definitely good stuff Thumbs Up

^Are you a member of the band or close to them? We could use some information on the band, our current biography isn't very good as none of us can read Russian and there's very little info available in English: http://www.metalmusicarchives.com/mind-prisoner.aspx - http://www.metalmusicarchives.com/mind-prisoner.aspx

That's the great thing about this page: now that they're in the system, users can review the album, so there'll be plenty of opportunity for feedback. Otherwise, if they don't already have pages there, then there's Facebook and MySpace.

The production's pretty good, I think.

Yeah a myspace page is almost mandatory these days and an easy way to upload your songs. Ive made one myself and it didnt take more than an hour or so. obviously if you want to design it theres more work to do.

this is the information about band

Mind Prisoner – a Belarusian heavy-metal band, founded in year 2006.

The band is called in honor of human mind, changed condition of conscience, which became a norm of social life.

The subjects of moral principles and the search of energetics that charges and renders active the conscience were taken as a basis of creation.

As the members of the band say that the affect on the content of their songs was made by a critical attitude to the situation in music, and a whole informational industry. The information that is circulating in it has a destabilizing influence. It blocks the mind by ideas that destroy and lead to a dead end. An example to that is an intoxicated, young generation that degrades, lives in a system locked on the instincts and habits. That must be perceived as a mental disease of society hidden under the mask of formal innovation in the culture of hedonism.

Year 2009 marked few first solo concerts of "Mind prisoner" in several cities. The show made an impression on a wide range of audiences, including the organizers, who spoke of the positive impact of bands music. Many were surprised by the abilities of musicians and gave them considerable support in their moving forward.

In early 2010 the band released their first album - ... The way it is. The material is posted on the band's website.

In January of that year was filmed a video for the song Hero of life.

At the end of February was a presentation of the album.

Now the band is actively working on the next album.
