Spawned out of a highschool-choir, Quavila is a volatile and agressive norwegian metalband.

The members have a vast musical background which spans from salsa to Balkan rom-music and from electronica to jazz and punk. The result is impressionist metal often inspired by the likes of Kerry King, Jimmy Page, Bela Bartok and G.W.Bush.

Until now Quavila has been a rather obscure band due to their focus on making a full EP. To achieve the best possible result, Erik Pytten Hundvin was hired to produce the songs in the legendary Grieghallen Studios. The mastering was done by notable noise-musician, John Hegre, in Duper Studios. The goal of the recording was to show the amount of energy and aggression upheld by the band as well as savouring all the spontaneous moments occurring during the recording. The result needs to be heard.

This fall Quavila has played at the most important venues in Bergen, as well as Checkpoint Charlie in Stavanger. Quavila is also representing Bergen in the Norwegian final of Emergenza, where they will compete against two other bands, respectively from Stavanger and Oslo. The final is held at Rockefeller in Oslo, and will kick ass!

Further along Quavilas focus will be to play as many gigs as possible and promoting their music, as well as expanding their repertoire.

I added the band here  http://www.metalmusicarchives.com/quavila.aspx" rel="nofollow - http://www.metalmusicarchives.com/quavila.aspx  Thumbs Up I took the liberty of using the bio posted above and altered it just a bit. The EP is now under thrash metal, but after listening to it once I suspect it might be better at home in Metalcore. Somebody who knows something about metalcore please listen Tongue
