May I make the obvious suggestion of jazz and jazz rock music? Tongue

In metal... hmm... not too much. Try out Mr. Bungle, which has a lot of saxophone in it.

Check out the latest album by Ihsahn titled "After".  It's one of my favorite albums of 2010.

The new Aborym album has some sax on it... it's really creepy music, though. I don't know if you'd like it.

Yeah I like heavy stuff, but not to creepy because then it just creeps me out, and I don't enjoy it.

I'll be writing a review of it either today or tomorrow. It's the type of album that sends chills up your spine the entire time. Not because of heaviness (most times), but mainly because of the overall atmosphere. Atmospheric synthesizers over whispered and tortured vocals are enough to really creep me out.

It's a great album, but not accessible by any stretch of the imagination.

Check out British prog metal band A Torn Mind. They play progressive rock/metal with sax. Check out their debut EP, Barriers.

There's some sax on a coupel of the songs on Queenrche's "The Promised Land". There are also a couple of songs with sax in them on Day Six' "The Grand Design". And Aborym's got some sax on "Psychogrotesque" - but that's a really creepy record.

How about, other than Ihsahn, Shining? They also released an album this year called "BlackJazz". It's really crazy!
