The year of my birth! I bought myself Alice Cooper's "School's Out" for my 18th birthday.Smile Just love the way it sounds like a more sinister West Side Story.

Went with Deep Purple, although I really like a lot of these albums.

Wishbone Ash  - Argus but it was a close call between that and Sabbath. Also rated highly - Deep Purple, Budgie (thought they were to do much better albums) and Uriah Heep (especially D & W).

Not on the list...

a lot of my favourite albums that year were prog with amazing albums from Yes, Genesis, Man, Jethro Tull, Osanna, Le Orme and PFM to name a few but sticking with the heavier stuff...

Deep Purple - Made In Japan
Trapeze - You Are The Music....
Groundhogs - Hogwash

it was also the year of David Bowie - Ziggy Stardust. enough said.

Don't know anything from 1972 either. I guess I have some exploring to do. I know my Dad has a couple of these albums.
