Western music is illegal all over the Islamic world. It just depends how harshly the government enforces the law. That's part of the reason the US army used Metallica and Twisted Sister to torture Muslim prisoners- it is just so foreign, blasphemous and unfamiliar. If you haven't seen the documentary called "Global Metal", I seriously suggest tracking it down. It shows the plight of metal fans in some of these seriously repressed countries. In some countries this sort of thing happens a lot, while in other Muslim countries like Indonesia metal is huge.
