Ι will be waiting as well but there is an awful silence coming from the PW camp. We'll see.

At least this year the new Vektor release is certain.
Also Toxik, Testament and Trallery.

The new Nightwish has me interested of course though I wasn't that impressed by the lead single.

Apart from that there's the new Kamelot that was recently announced, Arjen Lucassen's new project The Gentle Storm, along with a couple of releases that are already out but I haven't heard yet, namely Carach Angren and Dysrider (the band that used to be Trophallaxy).

My real big one for this year was of course Blind Guardian though which was released at the end of January. Didn't disappoint at all though I do slightly prefer At the Edge of Time.

Forgot about the new Kamelot, definitely excited for that. Silverthorn really showed that Kamelot could be just as good without Khan.

I'm interested to see what you think of that one. It definitely is more melodeath compared to their last album, but it still sounds similar. I like it about equally as much as I liked Resilience.

Just going by bands with confirmed albums, I plan on listening to the following 2015 releases asap:
Anthropia - Non-Euclidean Spaces
Barren Earth - A Lonely Tower
Civil War - Gods and Generals
Damnation Angels - The Valiant Fire
Desert - Never Regret
Drakkar - Run With the Wolf
The Gentle Storm - The Diary
Helloween - My God Given Right
Kamelot - Haven
Lancer - Second Storm
Magic Kingdom - Savage Requiem
Majesty - Generation Steel
Moonspell - Extinct
Nightwish - Endless Forms Most Beautiful
Riverside - Love, Fear and the Time Machine
Sirenia - The Seventh Life Path
Luca Turilli's Rhapsody - Prometheus, Symphonia Ignus Divinus

I've got plenty of non metal albums I'm looking forward to, but with metal, I tend to play it by ear.

I'm liking the newest Liturgy track a lot more than the one before it. Production's kind of wonky still, and I don't love Hunter Hunt-Hendrix's vocals, but they've pretty much left metal behind, which I think is probably better for them. They have more in common now with the genrelessness of Greg Fox's Zs project.

I just learned about this a few days ago.  Blurring, which features Dan Lilker and Erik Burke of Brutal Truth, and members of Kalibas and Warblade.

I don't seem to have too much on my radar right now, except for the already mentioned Kamelot. New Helloween album too of course.

Oh and Darkology finally have a second album on the way. I've heard bits of pieces leading up to this for months now, and I've had mixed feelings given how much I loved their debut, but I'm still quite excited.

If I hadn't already had a promo of it, my most anticipated right now would have been the new Pyramaze album Disciples of the Sun. Instead I can highly recommend it. Thumbs Up

Borealis - Purgatory

It's already out in Europe now, releases in the US in July (I still can't for the life of me figure out why record companies do that. Don't they know that promotes piracy?)

Their album 'Fall From Grace' was maybe my album of 2011. I liked it better than Symphony X's 'Iconoclast, quite frankly. And maybe as much as Within Temptation's 'The Unforgiving'.

Re-recordings album, with songs taken from their 80's albums. I think their early work is good but I much prefer their later stuff, so hopefully this will feature updated arrangements to match their current sound.

I'm just as hyped for this and the last one I posted as I am for the new Iron Maiden.

Redemption, Tad Morose and Spock's Beard are to release albums soon.

Don't expect much from the new Iron Maiden...

So what's still to come this year that hasn't aready been released? I can't think of that much more I'm looking forward to to be honest though there's usually some I've forgotten about.

The one I'm most looking forward to is the new Avatarium album. I believe Jess and the Ancient Ones and Blood Ceremony both have new albums in the pipeline but not sure if they'll come out this year.

Unfortunately Anthrax has pushed back the release of their new album for 2016. Cry

Still looking forward to the new Sevendust, Clutch, Killing Joke, Blue Stahli, and 3rd Machine though.

^ Used to be quite a big fan of Anthrax but they haven't got me excited about anything in quite a while.

This is sounding pretty good. If I hadn't known otherwise, I'd think it's a whole new album, that's how similar it sounds to their last one.

Didn't know that was in the pipeline. I thought there was meant to be a new Metallica album some time this year too. Not concerned enough to look it up though.Smile

Don´t worry it´ll be finished sometime after 2020. Ulrich and Hetfield need to take Deep breaths and lots of time before they can be in a recording studio together Big smile. And...a psychiatrist.

lol 2020....I'm not expecting anything before at 2052.  To be honest, for the first time ever, I don't think I will even bother with the next Metallica album.

^I´m not holding my breath for something great either, but I´ll give them the benefit of the doubt, when (if) it is released. I actually did enjoy "Death Magnetic" to a certain extent, although I haven´t listened to it since it was released (and I reviewed it). I still haven´t dared to listen to their collaborative effort with Lou Reed.

It's not a bad version, and it has some noticeable differences in it, but I think I actually prefer the original.

I posted this a while ago, happy Redemption was releasing new material but their new album will be released early 2016, so I'll have to wait some more.
The new Tad Morose is pretty enjoyable.
As for the new Spock's Beard, I haven't listened to it yet, just haven't found the right mood for it.

Another great news is that german prog-rock/metal band Subsignal will release their 4th album late October.

Winterhorde finally has a new album on the way so I'm pretty hyped about that. I don't know when it's out yet though which is why I haven't been able to add it to MMA yet. Their last one was brilliant. The only slightly concerning thing is that all but two members are still with them that made their last one.

There's a new Chastain album coming in November that I'll add to MMA shortly.
