Topic - Black Metal drop-in centre

I like the old Celtic Frost stuff, which is apparently considered black metal, but I've never thought of it as black metal myself. Other than that, I think "Battles in the North"  and I seem to remember liking "Nightside Eclipse", too. Ceremony were also pretty good; they released a couple of black metal demos, and then they started gravitating towards progressive metal. Their demos are hard to come by nowadays, and are probably worth a lot of money.

The vocalist of one of my bands is a big fan of raw and dirty black metal, and he's also an avid vinyl collector, so he has records by a whole bunch of obscure black metal acts from all over the world. Our drummer likes black metal, too, so there are some black metal influences in out own music as well.
