I'll go out on a limb . . .

Cant tell you HOW MANY folks on Progulus, had NEVER liked the "Cookie" vocals till they
heard Opeth on the station, on a regular basis when other listeners requested them or
they were in the queue.
I think it may take many listens to see if you can get into their music soo much that those
vocals will blend in with his more melodic voice.

For me it was easy because I am a Thrash and Death Metal fan, but Opeth's music is rich
with creativity that even "Proggers" appreciate it, as many love them as well, no matter what
era (But hey, many have particular albums they like)..
Just my 2 cents, not pressuring you to like anything you cant picture yourself liking in the
near future Wink.

You may want to see the MMA Best of 2011 List too for more Prog Metal recommends as
well Smile (I made a Playlist for it and my own "Best Prog Albums of 2011" playlist that you
can sample too).
