If you don't know them already, I'd go with Black Flag first. Their first three albums are all masterpieces, My War perhaps being their very best.
A few other suggestions: The Exploited The Offspring (The first four albums, their debut especially) Broken Bones (One of my favorite old school hardcore punk bands) Flogging Molly (If you like Dropkick Murphy's, these guys are essential listening) Samhain (Danzig's other punk band, November Coming Fire is particularly amazing) The Suicide Machines (A Match and Some Gasoline, War Profiteering is Killing Us All) Killing Joke (The debut is a great slice of proto-industrial punk, though I prefer their industrial metal stuff) Siouxsie and the Banshees (More goth than punk, but The Scream and Join Hands are pretty heavy on the punk) Hope you enjoy some of these!
