Moonsorrow is a definite must, one of my favourite bands.
NOTE: That's a tribute video, not an official video clip. Turisas have done an amazing job with the album The Varangian Way. Though more of an epic-type album, folk elements abound: For the most exteme celtic-influenced metal that I can think of, try Heol Telwen. Or, if you're more into the softer side of things, check out Eluveitie. I'm personally not fond of their works, but I know plenty people who are, so I guess they're good. Fintroll should be no news by now. :) ...and I'll end with a band that's very dear to me, Korpiklaani. I used to be very into folk-inspired metal for a couple of years, and I still enjoy it very much, so there's plenty more recommendations where these came from, if you want'em. :) Edited by Ulfednar - 21 Aug 2010 at 7:22am |
