Heavy Metal is actually it's most voted up primary tag on RYM though.

I'm intrigued by it too so I'll evaluate it for the sub when I check it out.
I personally don´t agree with artists being placed in trad. when they predominantly use extreme vocals. We had a similar discussion with Swansong by Carcass. But as always it´s just an opinion, and if everyone else thinks trad. or something else is a better fit than death metal, then so be it.
