I'm putting together a new MMA branded List Challenge based on a theme of bands you're really impatient to hear a new studio album from. I'd like you all to field suggestions for inclusion on the list in this thread. 

The conditions for inclusion on the posted list challenge are:

  • Haven't released a studio album since 2018 (other releases including EPs are okay)
  • Have been active in all that time - no broken up acts or acts on official hiatus. 
  • No new album already announced, with details and release date, at the time of publishing the list.
Acts will be represented on the last by their last studio album released.

Well Atheist released their last album in 2010:

ATHEIST - Jupiter cover

Although I prefer their old stuff, I would still like to hear more from them.

I just listened to a podcast with Kelly Shaefer. Till the Dirt is his current focus, but he's been working on more Atheist material.

Striker's last album came out in 2018:
Loved the hell out of it, so would DEFINITELY like to see more from this awesome band!

Way overdue is a new album from Symphony X. Their last one, Underworld was released in 2015.
