I rearlly listens to BG, but they strike me as a metal band every time I hear them.
 
but since they are kinda silly, they are often not taken seriously,
 
but their guitar tone is sure metalish
 
but they doo quirky stuff, bordering on avant garde and have humour and satire

They flirt with metal at times, but are definitely not a "metal band". I've heard the first three albums, and especially the third has some metal elements, but far from the amount that would warrant an inclusion. My two cents.
