Since most acts have both an official website and a myspace account, Id like the opportunity to include both the official website and the myspace link in band entries. Like this:

- Official website
- Myspace

I verily agree with this, also because EM kicks our asses in this department too at the moment! They've got pretty much unlimited space for links, so they can include label links and whatnot...

Im not sure we should include links to labels as artists have a tendency to shift labels throughout their career. I know that wasnt what you meant but I thought I would mention it.

Great idea Jonas. Clap

As an additional point for consideration, I have noticed of late that bands are promoting a Facebook page in preference to MySpace.

Should there be a link to FB too? Or the second link being a choice between FB and/or MS?

I think that we'd be well of with an official link, a MS link and a FB link.

Great idea Steve. I didnt think of the Facebook thing because I dont have an account myself. Its a very popular place though, so I support the idea. Ive noticed that bands have begun using that media for promotion as well.

Also, Twitter I think, although I have never used it so I don't know if metal bands actually tweet or not.

I added MySpace, Facebook and Twitter fields in Add/Edit Artist page as well as in the artist index menu in the artist page (links appear only when field is not empty, for example, MySpace link will be visible only if the field was filled. It's still in beta phase (like the whole site Wink) and will be improve in the next few days/weeks, keep an eye on it! I have a few cool ideas... You can now feed those fields collabs teams!! Thumbs Up
