Yeah, I've read some Steam reviews and they all basically said the DLC forces you to play evil. So much so, that apparently if you try to refuse working with the raiders you get locked out of all the main quests, lol! At least I don't have to worry about it messing up my idiot character in any way, but it does kinda kill my motivation for going all the way through the game with my other character, especially when I'm going to need to free some space on PS4's HDD soon, with Deus Ex taking up 45 GB and needing to stay there until early next year, when all the DLC has been released.

Deus Ex is awesome at this point, btw. I've been doing all the side quests I can find and they're certainly much better than the standard kill and fetch quests you see in most modern games. They actually put a lot of effort into writing some good stories for side quests in this game. If anything, it feels like the main quest in this one is probably going to be shorter than Human Revolution, but the side quests are there to make up for that.

Well I actually told the main raider guy Gage that I wasn't interested in being the new raider overboss but the game basically forces you to be as he doesn't take no for an answer.

It just seems really bad on all levels to be honest. I tried acting the tough evil raider when meeting the head's of all the gangs and the voice acting was so unconvincing.

It seems Mankind Divided is now patched and working great on all systems now, so that's great. Apparently, what happened accoring to a guy I watch who spoke to an annonymous Eidos developer: They were asked by the publisher to throw in microtransactions for stuff like praxis kits and other items for the main game at literally the last possible second, which took away some time they had to polish the game. That sucks, obviously, but at least now since it got patched I didn't have any problems (in fact, I in't have any glitches the whole game.)

I beat it last night, and for all the controversy it's getting, I liked it every bit as much as Human Revolution, if not slightly more. The gameplay is the same but slightly improved with new abilities added, and it doesn't have the forced boss fights any more. The story feels a little cut up, but it's still quite interesting, though I honestly found some of the sidequests and some emails and pocket secretaries I found to have most of the more interesting story related stuff in the game, so I could see how people who ignore all that would think the story in this one is worse than in Human Revolution.

That's great to hear though I still personally consider microtransactions in a single player title to be an outrage.

I'm certainly not a fan of microtransactions either, though I don't get too bothered by them, just because I know I can avoid them completely. So it's like, I think it sucks when developers are forced to take time out of working on their game to include them, but they don't effect me in any way.

What sucks in this case, though, is that they apparently lost time they could have used to fix bugs just to include microtransactions (which caused the game to have some major problems before they patched it,) when it's clear the game wasn't designed with them in mind: I went through the whole game without even buying any praxis kits you can get with in-game currency, just because I got so many through playing naturally, that I already had all the augs I wanted, and so later on it was just about deciding which bonus augs I wanted to give a try.

I just saw on Facebook that there was a game made about Polandball. It's on Steam right now.

I started up Nuka World, and once I actually went there, the first thing I get: A generic corridor shooter where I'm constantly getting yelled at by some annoying idiot because I dare to take my time looting everything instead of rushing along. That's totally what I want from a Fallout DLC Wink

Hopefully it picks up once I actually get into the open world part of it, but I really hate when Bethesda throws in these dumb linear sections they're clearly terrible at.

I played some more last night and, while my feelings on it are still a bit mixed, it is picking up. I liked exploring the new town and meeting the gangs, plus the Nukacade is pretty neat. My first zone was a bit annoying, with occasional fun parts, but the second zone I did was just awesome the whole way through. The best part of it was my character tried doing an old western accent, and it was so comically bad it felt like an idiot impersonator, so that fit my character perfectly!

Also, I think I know what what causes you to get locked out of all the main quests: There's a quest you get called "Open Season", where it asks you to kill all the gang leaders, so I think doing that would lock you out of the main quest. My plan: Go through with the main quest, wipe out the settlements I had in the main game (I really don't care much for the settlement building anyway, so it's no real loss for me) and then when the raiders finally think they can trust me? That's when I'll turn on them and murder all of them. I already got everyone in Diamond City killed, so I think by the time I leave this file for good, I may as well leave the world as barren as possible. In that sense, the DLC is a great fit for my character.

I can't even play Fallout 4 right now as I have mods on my game that need F4SE to run and for some reason the F4SE team is not releasing an update for the latest Fallout 4 patch.

I really, really want to like Silent Hill 4, but damnit, why must it be so frustrating and annoying. Why must the second half of the game consist of replaying the first levels with the addition of having to escort someone around the whole time who can't climb ladders, wants to keep attacking unkillable creatures if you give them a weapon causing both of us to take hits, yet if you don't give them a weapon just stands there stupidly while taking damage instead of moving away, and is excruciatingly slow meaning you have to constantly stop and wait for them to catch up before going to a new area or they'll just get left in that area. Also not being able to drop items is unforgivably dumb. Limited inventory is fine and dandy but damnit if the melee weapon I'm using breaks don't make it waste space in my limited inventory. Why the hell can't I drop it. Why do I have to go back and put it in the chest in the apartment room and have it waste space in there to make room in my inventory.

Damnit Silent Hill 4.

Yeah, Silent Hill 4 is quite the mess. I remember enjoying the first half of the game, but then it turned into a frustrating, mindless action game and it just got more and more annoying as it went on. Some people hate Homecoming more, but I consider it by far the worst game in that series.

The limited space thing is definitely annoying. It wouldn't be as bad if you could drop items.

I played through a point and click game called The Silent Age over the last couple of days. Not a very long title overall and not too challenging to work out its puzzles (I got stuck once near the end) and in some ways its time travel plot proved predictable but I really enjoyed this one. I expect I'll place it again to try to get missed achievements.

Meanwhile F4SE is still not updated...I'm beginning to wonder if Bethesda purposely patched in something to make it not work and that's why there's no update being released.

I think I'm just about finished with Nuka World. I liked actually exploring the park, doing sidequests and exploring the main areas, but it seems now the rest of the main quest is just a bunch of boring settlement crap, which I can't find the energy to complete. I just find the settlement stuff so damn boring and I really hope Bethesda either leaves out of future Elder Scrolls and Fallout games, or at least doesn't force into the main plots as much, because I really want nothing to do with it.

I'm personally a big fan of the settlement building. I've spent many hours on it even on various saves trying different builds in my favourite locations. On my current save I even have the bulk of a complete city built on the Starlight Drive-In site, complete with permanent shops instead of those trading stalls and various twists and turns associated with typical Fallout post-apocalyptic architecture.

Sanctuary additionally has what has to be my best individual house.

Which is why I don't like the sound of what people are saying about the later stages of Nuka World where it seems you have to wreck your own settlements.

It almost seems like Eileen's AI is supposed to be purposefully frustrating, the escort sections in SH2 weren't that bad, RE4 was kinda annoying but not like SH4. I thought Homecoming was pretty bad, and I still might like SH4 more honestly, I really like what they did with the apartment and how the room changes throughout the game.

Also three homebrew games I bought all came in this past weekend. Battle Kid 1 and 2 for the NES and Dux 1.5 for the Dreamcast. I've already beaten Dux, it's a pretty good horizontal shootem up, good level variety, excellent graphics, and it's not an impossible bullet hell game, really it's almost too easy and forgiving, and it's way to short for a 40 dollar game. It's got some pretty unique mechanics for shootem up (at least the ones I've played) like a bullet soak ability that you can keep up as long as you're able to keep the bar from running out. Supposedly the original Dux was incredibly hard, I'm not the best at shootem ups so I'm glad I got this version.

I've only played a little bit of the Battle Kid games but holy hell are they hard. They're based off of games like I Wanna Be The Guy and Brutal Mario, maybe not quite as hard as those but they're pretty close.

The games have a pretty awesome ost, if that's your thing, too.

Just finished up the base game of my current Witcher 3 run. I have clocked a total of 826 hours on the game now and every playthrough I am still finding little bits that I have previously missed. This time I found a guy chained to rock to die in Skellige that I have never seen before which in turn led to a second little interaction in a village that previously always seemed conspicuously void of any kind of gameplay.

I also ran into the two Redanian guards in Oxenfurt who try to extort money from Geralt for a second time...having on every other playthrough seen them that one time and thought that was the end of our dealings. I hexed them with Axii and sent them off to clean the latrines.

Ready to start Hearts of Stone now and then my long overdue second run of Blood and Wine.

Meanwhile another day gone by and still no F4SE update which means still no Fallout 4 if I want to keep my mods active, which my save requires at this point.

Finally F4SE is up so I can finally explore Nuka World some more.

Also Mass Effect news: http://www.pcgamer.com/mass-effect-andromedas-female-and-male-playable-characters-are-sister-and-brother/?utm_content=buffered29e&utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook&utm_campaign=buffer_pcgamerfb

I like the idea of the male and female protagonist being canon this time around. I always felt that FemShep seemed like an afterthought in the first trilogy.

I haven't had much hype for this game yet, perhaps because it's always seemed so far away, but I am starting to get interested in it now.

I'm interested in Andromeda, but it's getting pretty frustrating to not have any real footage yet, even though it's supposedly out early next year (yeah, they technically did release footage yesterday, but it was just walking around so who cares.) If it's out February next year by chance, I won't be getting it right away. anyway, because I already have two games planned for then.
