Which subgenre would they belong to? They're kind of all over the place.

The first song available fr streaming on the site "Seize the Day" was quite an interesting track. It started of very un-metal like but then it got into the heavier riffs and the drums became more evident. They even added some blast beats here and there but they weren't done overly well. Also, just as a reminder, there is no singing for those who might not like it.

The second song is much softer titled, "King of the Hill". Not really metal, though. There are some metal elements to it but overall not that metal. Don't get me wrong though because they are very good, but I'll come back after I've listened to more.

[Edit] Their singing is absolutely horrendous, more like talking to a wierd techno-ish beat. Found this out after I just posted the above message.

Sounds like a blend of metalcore and progressive metal to me. Definitely belong on this site, I'm just not sure where.

So let's include them ASAP. I suggest metalcore for the time being.

Bumping old business.  Sounds like it could be a metalcore fit.  I'll ask the metalcore guys. Smile

Prog/metalcore fusion, as pointed out above. It's rather common, and those bands tend to end up in the metalcore genre. I'll support their addition to metalcore, but I feel like they might even fit in avant metal because their so all over the place (quite literally)

Can an admin now lock this thread?
