Got round to seeing Deadpool 2 yesterday. Difficult to critique except to say, it’s Deadpool. Loved it.

Korean horror film. Very good but I think it could have been trimmed down a bit. Two and a half hours seems too much for a horror title to me.

Another excellent Tarantino. I really enjoyed his take on alternate history with this one.

^that's my favorite Tarantino movie, because it's stupidly entertaining but actually surprisingly clever as well. Also, Brad Pitt speaking some "authentic" Italian alone makes it a masterpiece LOL

I'm really torn on which one is my favourite still. For me, this, the two westerns and Pulp Fiction are all top tier while two Kill Bill's and Reservoir Dogs aren't far behind.

I still have Jackie Brown and Death Proof to see of his main films, plus the co-directed Four Rooms.

Undoubtedly though Tarantino has quickly ranked among my favourite film directors along with Guillermo Del Toro (I must re-watch Pan's Labyrinth and The Devil's Backbone soon, as well as finally see The Shape of Water) and Martin Scorsese.

^You should check out some Hitchcock films, particularly North By Northwest, Dial M For Murder, The 39 Steps, and Torn Curtain.

They really fucked up the time loop on it. Spoiled it for me.

Vin Diesel and Mélanie Thierry in Babylon A.D. (2008)

Much better than I anticipated although it was relatively predictable.

I've often found that it's the case that when I finally see a film that has been really hyped that I come away from it feeling underwhelmed. This was not one of those films.

^I liked Sicario.

Doctor Strange...eh, it was alright.

Unforgiven...haven´t watched it since it was released, but I wasn´t too impressed back then. I´ll probably enjoy it more now.

^ I thought it was excellent, a really great western.

Just watched:

Scorsese's change of pace film. For a supposed children's film the story in this seems like it would appeal much more to adults (it's basically about the early film industry, specifically revolving around Georges Méliès, who appears as a main character). Kids no doubt enjoy it but I doubt they'd appreciate the deeper meaning of the film. I'd definitely recommend it to other adults.

Watched two more Scorsese films during the day:

I thought this one was a slow burn, but I really enjoyed it come the conclusion.

This is a classic film for sure but the subject matter is less interesting to me than most of Scorsese's work, so I personally enjoyed it a little less.
