A different take on the Samurai film genre. Quite comedic actually.

^ That's one of a handful of Eastwood's I've still not had the opportunity to watch.

Vikings meets Predator in a predictable and pretty badly acted version:

Pretty solid Blaxploitation horror film from the 70s.

Bloody terrifying movie really.

Who says a Lotus can't swim? Submarines, explosions, Ringo Starr's missus, this movie had it all!

A bit slow moving, but based on true stories and real characters.

I've been dreaming of watching this movie about 10 years. And today, in Victory's Day, I finally watched it. I have nothing to say, nothing to feel anymore. I've never seen a war film like this before. Never seen a war story told like THIS. Probably I'll never see a war film like this. It doesn't matter anymore for me since I've watched Come & See. Absolute cinematographic masterpiece.

^ That's on my most wanted to see, but it is not available in the UK at all.

This was very entertaining.

The very first Bond movie I saw, with my Dad in 1980. We went to see the first Star Trek movie, but it was a genuine blockbuster, in that there was a line right around the block. So we went and saw this instead. I haven't seen it again since. The 7-8 year old me loved it. After all, it had space shuttles, snake wrestling, and er... more space stuff.

And the 48 year old me loved it too. I'm not sure why it cops so much criticism as it's no more corny or far-fetched than any of the other Bond films. And it's got the relentless Jaws in it, my favourite Bond villain

I quite enjoyed this. There's some excellent underwater scenes, and there's cricket! (It's a proper game too, not just some faked up crap for the cameras. Sorry, I'm a hopeless cricket fan...)

Story by Peter Benchley, who also wrote Jaws. Literary types didn't like his books because of his lack of style. Fuck 'em. The dude could spin a fucking ripping yarn!

Really? Even on YouTube? Mosfilm (a studio which has copyright on Come & See) has published the entire movie with English subtitles which needs to be turn on.

I never think to look on YouTube.

I just mean that it's not available through any of the normal means like DVD or blu-ray, streaming or even digital stores.

With the Criterion Collection gaining more of a foothold in the UK I keep hoping that they will release it here since they have it in the US. This and a number of other movies.

I'll check out YouTube though in the meantime.

I thought so you didn't usually use platforms such as YouTube for watching films. Got it. Smile

This was better than expected. Very tense psych thriller. There isn't much to the actual story but the performance of the daughter character is just so compelling so unlike most movies with disabled characters the actress really is disabled and while it's possible that they may have used a stunt double for some of the more intense scenes when she's out of her wheelchair, her performance is an absolute powerhouse.
