It's still solid and more enjoyable than most and I'll probably still objectively give it four stars but it's exactly this sort of thing flooding the current scene that got me burned out on prog.

Just woke up and saw my promo for that as well, so I'm giving it a listen now. It does seem more prog than their last one, though I still hear some power metal. It sounds very good, anyway.

There haven't been too many power metal albums so far this year, and my favorite one (Bloodbound) is more on the cheesy side of things, so that probably wouldn't do it for you. At least Vandroya and Mindmaze both have albums out late next month (same date and same label as Pyramaze) so we should get those sometime soon and they should both be great.
