It's actually my favorite along with High 'n' Dry, although I enjoy all of their first four albums. What don't you like about the debut?

I find the songs weak and the vocals lackluster. I think Matt really brought the elements together as producer on High N Dry. I haven't heard the first one in a while. I have found that when i revisit albums years later that my tastes have changed so i very well might like it now :)

Well it's much more metal than Melting Clocks is for a start!
I'm on track nine and at the moment I'm leaning towards putting it in folk metal. Melting Clocks is noticeably more prog.
I also think it's a better album.

I didn't like this one too much when I reviewed it but I recently saw a cheap copy so I picked it up to give it another go and I'm liking it a lot more now. I'll have to pull and perhaps re-write my review of this one.

Started this up during a brief power outage this afternoon. Great stuff, reminds me a lot of early Opeth, but with mostly shorter songs.
