nice, great album, the only CB album I like, as good as some Deep Purple material (I dare compare since Rod Evans was DP's first vocalist).
I agree it´s the only Captain Beyond album you need. The NeXT is alright too, but never reaches the heights of this one.

Oh... man these early Savatage releases are great. I don´t know how I couldn´t hear that the first time I listened to them.

This is a supposed to be a pretty good Brazillian power metal band, but this is just putting me to sleep. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

^That's actually one of my favorite thrash albums from recent years. Could you (or anyone else who likes the band) recommend me any other Testament albums to try out at some point? That's  their only one I've heard so far.

You're in for quite a ride, as Testament's got tons of killer albums. My personal favorites are "The Legacy", "Practice What You Preach", "Souls of Black", "Low", and "The Gathering", but you can't really go wrong with any of their albums. Although "Demonic" and "The Ritual" are a bit on the weaker side, even those are still good albums. Their previous one "The Formation of Damnation" is great too. The latter might be a good one to listen to next as it's a very similar sound to "Dark Roots of Earth". Testament's one of my favorite bands, so sorry if I rambled a bit. LOL

Still this one. Pretty great EP and hard to imagine that the material is actually leftover tracks from the "Sirens" sesssions.

Listened to this one Again last night:

^Love that Nevermore album, although the debut is my personal favorite of the ones I've heard.

That one's killer too, can't believe I forgot about it. Probably because it has been awhile since I've listened to it.

I was going through my list on RYM over the artists that I´ve seen live, and suddenly Gorod popped up. I´ve even written a review of that concert: http://www.metalmusicarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=3118&title=obscura-spawn-of-possession-gorod-exivious

They're not a band who have ever blown me away but I do dig this newest one a bit more than the other two I've heard from them.

What the hell happened to this band? I decided to quickly check out a couple songs on this after the disaster from earlier today, but this is really awesome the whole way through and much more energetic than their new one. Now I'm even more disappointed by how bad that one was.

And that's one I wouldn't recommend. Just a matter of opinion though. I can also add First Strike Still Deadly, which is a re-recording of a selection of tracks from the first two albums along with an old demo song, and a couple of them feature original vocalist Steve Souza, more famous for his work with Exodus.
