You know my taste pretty well. Loved it. Not sure why I haven't heard this band before. How was their debut?

As for me, now playing:

Glad you liked it. I'd heard their 2013 album when it came out as I got a promo for it, but was never blown away by it. I ending up checking out the 80's stuff though due to my recent 80's metal interest and I like both that album and the debut a lot more. The debut is a bit different than The Second Coming, much more obvious heavy metal roots whereas The Second Coming is full on USPM/speed metal, but I still liked it quite a bit. Vocals are definitely stronger on the second album though.

I remember back in the day no one knew what "mosh" meant. It's been funny to see it come into mainstream usage.

Now playing: The Tombs - Agnostic Front. Working my way through their entire discography.

Yeah, 'mosh' is pretty much a household word by now.

First thing -

BLOOD CEREMONY - The Eldritch Dark cover

So far half way through this -

HAND - Breathing cover

MMA describes this band as a mix of prog metal, goth and doom. We file it under progressive metal. It may just be me but bar some occasional proggy bits, this sounds much more based in gothic or doom to me. It's a decent album wherever it belongs though.

May listen to some Attacker now...you guys got me in the mood. Frankly, I'm not overly familiar w/ them either, just a couple songs, but would definitely like to check them out more!

Just to confound matters, RYM calls it alternative metal/rock. Wink

I think the band's own website used to describe them as progressive alternative / gothic. Wiki (that well known infallible source) describes them just as progressive gothic. I'd agree with wiki on this one, but they're not doing any harm where they are.

Fallen in love with this album, certainly among my favorite thrash albums.

Enjoying it a bit more this time, but it still seems a step back to me.
