Interesting album if you enjoy old school death metal that´s a bit on the "weird" side:

Not heard any Jack DeJohnette, except in his role as drummer on Bitches Brew. Is it in the same line of free jazz? It' looks like a great line-up.

^Those certainly are quite seasoned jazz/fusion musicians. Not that I´m an Expert, but I do know a Little about it . |

I enjoyed it but it wasn't fully to my taste to be honest.

Earlier:
20 years old today, rewrote my review just in time. While I did lower my score slightly because of my new system, this is still a brilliant record IMO. Far as I can tell, this is the first Celtic metal album. Completely different album to their first one. I enjoy this too but it is overshadowed by the album's either side of it IMO. I expect I'll continue my Cruachan relisten tomorrow. Love this band. Just in case anyone doesn't know them yet and is interested, here's a quick example of how much they changed between these two records: |

And just finished this from Indonesia - Armaggedon Holocaust: Radioactive Zone 245. Very good punky experimental black metal. Well worth a free download off ReverbNation Edited by Bosh66 - 30 Apr 2015 at 3:22pm |
