I barely remember anything about their debut (in fact, I don't even remember adding it to the site, even though I did, LOL), but this feels like a massive step up. It's probably the best not overly power metal influenced symphonic album I've heard since at least the last Epica album, though maybe even longer than that.

Yeah, this definitely isn't as good as the new one. Still very good, but much more chaotic, and the vocals have improved on the new one, even though it's the same singer. Weird.....
