^Oh man, ATCQ was one of the first hip hop groups I checked out! I gotta go back to them, definitely. Also, yeah, definitely make some recs! Other than those two I aim to check out some Wu Tang, 50 Cent, 2pac, Necro, and Clawfinger. Some of these I heard snippets of but never really delved deeper into their discography!!

The Beastie Boys have always been my favorite hip hop group, with everything from Licensed to Ill to Hello Nasty being classic. Some other favorites of mine not in your list:
Run DMC - King of Rock to Tougher than Leather Blackalicious - all of them Eric B and Rakim - all of them Jungle Brothers - Done by the Forces of Nature and J Beez Wit the Remedy (as well as the unreleased Crazy Wisdom Masters) Rob Sonic - Telicatessen Lyrics Born - Later That Day Slick Rick - all of them
Boogie Down Productions, Death Grips, Del the Funky Homosapien, Jurassic 5, Masta Ace Incorporated, OutKast, and The Roots all have some great stuff too. On the rap metal end, Stuck Mojo are great.
