Earlier:
The first two songs are great, but the last song has some awful growls, that completely kill it. 2/3 ain't bad, I guess. Always a fun one Now/Up Next: (Yeah, I'm doing a marathon of Manowar albums I've never heard before, just so I can get them all rated.)

The soundtrack from Rocky IV... I love Vince DiCola's synth score (in particular 'War' and 'Training Montage') and I've developed a weakness for 80s adult rock songs like 'Burning Heart', 'Hearts on Fire', and 'No Easy Way Out'. I particularly eboy listening to 'No Easy Way Out' while bicycling up Banevolden here in Copenhagen.

On Spotify now so I finally got to listen to this. Good job too, since Amazon wants over £30 for it (and that is the wide release version).
Before that: Easily seems the best Avantasia for years.

How is this band's other stuff? Yes this is my first listen to this.
Should I give deeper into their discography and possibly purchase vinyls if I like what I hear? I mean this album was killer |

Their first two are classic thrash metal and the next two Testimony Of THe Ancients and Spheres are m uch more experimental and progressive. I think they're excellent. I would definately recommend the first four Pestilence albums. I'm not familiar with many of the later ones but i hear they are more generic thrash.

Much better on a third listen, though I'm still not sure about the USPM tag or not. Around half of the songs do sound like power metal to me, but a couple of those are more modernized than most USPM, I think. It definitely doesn't sound much like their last album at all, so fans may be disappointed. I like it, though, because I prefer slightly modernized power metal, anyway, and I greatly prefer the Mystic Prophecy vocalist over their normal vocalist, so I'm happy with the change.
