The best songs possible, with close to the worst production Seriously, this is so damn frustrating, because I see people calling it the best album of the year, and it should be nearly there for me, but the production is making it nearly unlistenable. It's just too damn quiet, even at high volume........

A massive, sudden genre shift, going from their classic symphonic/folk metal sound, to a mix of trance and melodic death metal. Very puzzling, indeed, as they were up there with Ensiferum as my two favorites in their style, so I'm sad to see them suddenly change. The album seems somewhat enjoyable, but there's no way I was ever NOT going to be disappointed with it, considering how much I loved their previous albums.

I love this band (they're very close to being my absolute all time favorite), but man, that cover and title are both lame, and the title track sucks. The rest of the album seems to be great, though.
