Better than I remembered, even. Probably their best since Obsolete, and it basically sounds like an updated version of that and Demanufacture, even shockingly similar at times.

Honestly, this wouldn't be much worse than Mechanize if they were to remove the wastes of time that are the last two tracks, and replace them with actual songs. As is, it starts off great and stays great through to track 8, and then it just fades. Granted, Mechanize has a fade out as well, but in that case it comes at the end of an amazing closing track, where on this album it seems like they just ran out of songs too early, or something.

Yeah it is, I don't think we will really ever know the true story.

Mechanize is a great album indeed, and I agree with your opinion on The Industrialist too. Some great tracks but too much filler. I´m personally a bit put off by the programmed drums too, but maybe that´s not an issue to you?

I don't really notice the drums much on either of those albums. Ever since Herrera left, I've kinda just accepted that the drums won't be as good, so I don't really pay attention to them anymore. I generally don't mind programmed drums, but they certainly aren't my favorite either.

I used to love Fear Factory when I was younger, can't stand them now.
