One of my favorites, enjoying it? Clap

Yeah, I think it's great. I had actually been struggling to try and get into Porcupine Tree for a while, but that stopped after I heard a couple tracks from The Incident around the time it came out, and completely hated what I heard. Shortly after a couple friends tried getting me into them again by linking me to different songs, but nothing clicked. A few years have past since then, and now that my tastes have changed, I decided to give them another shot, by starting with this one, since I remembered liking the title track years ago. On first listen it was a lot to take in, but I can already give it 4 stars, and I think that could go up over time. The title track and Anesthetize are my two favorites so far.

Yeah, The Incident seems to be one of those love-hate albums by them. The first album I heard by them was In Absentia, which along with this one, is usually the album that is recommended for new listeners.

^Seriously. I didn't want to bring it up, but that's the exact kind of thing that often scares me away from forums. Not liking an album is one thing, but insulting someone for even listening to something.... Totally unacceptable.

all that remains the order of things. a lot of people won't like this album but my opinion of it is that musically it is on par with their 1st 5 albums. lyrically it is fine. but vocally it lacks the death metal vocal that realy makes this band great. this is a great album. i give it 4 out of 5. if it had more death metal vocal it would be 4.5
