My favourite by them at least.
Not actually heard this one before. I don't generally find the D'Virgilio era as strong, although this is pretty good so far.

LOL. I'm feeling more metal than prog lately. Love that first Spock's Beard album. Most of their works are a bit uneven. Sometimes Neil Morse gets a little too sappy for his own good.

 It's only been three years since their last album, but with most other folk bands I like changing their sound in recent years, it feels like it's been an eternity since I've heard something this good in this style! It's also more power metal than normal, thanks to the new clean vocalist, which probably helps it even more

To be fair though they've never been completely metal. They just swapped the black for more prog and spaced up their psych side a whole lot more. |
