Although stuck in Eclectic prog in PA, I definitely hear metal guitars and sometimes metal vocals  in their releases (roughly 15 from 1991 onwards) even if drumming-wiseit's nor very metal-like.
 
They do have a space/psych side to them as well, and I think they'd be a good addition to Alt Metal (from the time/date POV, they're a perfect fit for that genre)
 
Waddya think???
my music collection increased tenfolds when I switched from drug-addicted musicians to crazy ones....

I think Yes, they are realy a heavy band at times, epessially on Demon box

I will take the suggestion to the Alt Metal team, but - having evaluated them for addition to PA some time ago - I am not sure they are a good fit for the site. Heavy, yes, metal... I don't know. Anyway, the team will have the last word on the matter.

It's true that not every album of theirs is metal
 
The debut Lobotomizer is so, though. (it sometimes has into hardcore vocals)
 
 
Their newest album is called Heavy Metal Fruit and is a more metallic Hawkwind and has some Wolfmother soub=ndscapes integrated into it.

Though they have some heavy elements, at their heart they are not metal at all. Grungy and punky early, but really they are not very metal.
 
Alt team has voted no.
We're gonna do a little number featuring Randy Rhoads...

Wine is fine but whisky's quicker.
