Hmm, Haven't heard half of these sadly, but i have to say out of the ones I do know, Khanate is my favorite.

I left out Boris intentionally, they're too much crossover, AND certainly not so notorious as the ones mentioned.

It's experimental drone metal. Not sludge-drone-doom. If I had included drone bands too, it would be a 10 times longer list.

I like Earth a lot, they're so genuine. My other exper-drone-folk fav is Wolfmangler.

They've got their own special musical world, quite a mystical one, that's why I like them. They don't have too many albs, but all good. Aethenor, House of Low Culture, KTL, Teeth of Lions Rule The Divine are the best in the drone metal scene beside Earth and Sunn O))), applause of course to Mr. O'Malley and Mr. Anderson
