availableIn January 2012, ALLEGAEON traveled to Southern California and entered Lambesis Studios with Daniel Castleman (As I Lay Dying, Impending Doom, Carnifex, Winds of Plague) to begin work on Formshifter. The latest album brings forward a sound that both plays off the band's previous releases mixed in with some new flavors that will be sure to enthrall old and new fans alike. Guitarist Greg Burgess had this to say about the new album, "With "Formshifter", I think we kept the sound a lot of our fans love about us, but achieved them through certain compositional challenges. Be it style, or genre mixing, I believe that we seamlessly applied certain elements we didn't have on Fragments, and it added a color and dimension we didn't have before". Guitarist Ryan Glisan adds, "This album to me indicates the future of the band but nods to our past as well. It, to me, is more of where I have envisioned our band being since I started the band a couple years back, it relies on similar songwriting structures and musicality but adds more groove and memorable riffing than our previous efforts."  Lyrics, an oft over-looked facet of death
metal is one the more interesting aspects of ALLEGAEON. The
band crafts their prose with a bit of a different mindset - often
touching on space, civilization and philosophy. Vocalist Ezra Haynes
elaborates on the band's first single from the album;
"'Tartessos: The Hidden Xenocryst' is definitely one that sticks
out to me. I was raised on Edgar Cayce readings and tales of
Atlantis. When Greg [Burgess] and I knew we wanted to touch base on
an ancient civilization, Atlantis was the logical

LA's Armored Saint are excited to announce that they'll be heading to Europe in July. recording their new album last week and have returned home for a
couple weeks before heading out for their European tour with
Suffocation! The album was produced, engineered, mixed and
mastered by Dave Otero of Denver's Flatline Audio. The humans of
earth can expect a much more updated production, complete with some
surprising guest appearances and the kind of musical exploration
that garnered the band droves of new fans with 2009's The Harvest
Floor. Once again, CATTLE DECAPITATION gives us more
extravagantly intense artwork from artist Wes Benscoter and the
CD/LP layout are as over the top as the album's concept

Demonocracy was produced by Jason Seucof (Black Dahlia
Murder, Whitechapel, Trivium), who recorded the band's blistering
Ruination full-length, at Audiohammer Studios and features
another strikingly detailed concept cover by artist Brent Elliott
White.Returning with an odd ball lineup, the nine-track Demonocracy seethes with unbridled vulgarity and potent disgust. Over their long existence the quintet have built a yearning fan base through their devotion to touring and a diehard commitment to creating relentlessly hostile and involving music, and in 2012 JOB FOR A COWBOY have never sounded hungrier. Commented the band in a collective statement: "However ruthless an age may actually have been, it's style transmits it's music only." Tarnished Gluttony With the critical praise and fan adoration bestowed upon 2009's Ruination, it would have been easy for the band to rest upon their proverbial laurels and serve up Ruination Part II. But from the moment Demonocracy roars to life it is wholly evident that this is a far more musically accomplished beast that takes their signature sound to the next level. From the abrasive blast of opener "Children Of Deceit" to the disconcerting strains of "The Deity Misconception" or the brooding, heart wrenching closer "Tarnished Gluttony". A record drenched in equal parts misanthropy and naked rage, and from start to finish they suspend the listener by the throat. A key factor in this progression was the change in the band's ranks, which finds vocalist Jonny Davy, drummer Jon "Charn" Rice, and guitarist Al Glassman joined by guitarist Tony Sannicandro, who met Al when he was a session guitarist for Despised Icon and filled the slot vacated by Thompson. In addition, Cephalic Carnage bassist Nick Schendzielos replaces Brent Riggs. Having initially brought Sannicandro and Schendzielos on as touring musicians, the members immediately gelled, and first wrote together on 2011's Gloom EP, sealing the deal and securing their places as full-fledged members of the band. Guitarist Tony Sannicandro believes he made a very natural addition into the band's ranks, and he's proud to bring his intricate style to JOB FOR A COWBOY's instantly recognizable sound. "I think I bring more of an old school guitar approach to the band. Obviously before the band got me there wasn't a lot of lead work. On the new album has a solo on every song. I think I've done the best work of my life on there," he states. Equally, no one can doubt Schendzielos' musical pedigree and formidable skills, and the bassist is looking to really make a mark through his work with the band. "It's really invigorating that the cats in JFAC are into my style because there is such a great expanse of uncharted territory for bass in metal," he states. "Cephalic is notorious for our chaotic and vigorous live performances alongside an expansive and dilatant range of metal stylings. I'm bringing all that experience with me and combining it with the talents of these splendid men to make my best bass work to date." fourth undertaking for the collaborative duo known as OSI.
Formed in 2002 by Jim Matheos (Fates Warning, Arch/Matheos) and
Kevin Moore (Chroma Key, former Dream Theater keyboardist),
OSI is a long distance partnership, both musicians typically
writing and recording alone and sending song ideas back and forth
for further elaboration. Written and recorded throughout most of
2011, this latest release once again reflects the eclectic
influences of both Matheos and Moore.Fire Make Thunder is slated for a March 23rd/26th release via Metal Blade Records. Today Decibel Magazine's "Deciblog" is hosting an exclusive premiere of a track from Fire Make Thunder. Get a first listen to the first track on the album "Cold Call" HERE. Thunder, with the exception of drums, was done by Moore and
Matheos at each musician's respective home studio with drums being
recorded at Harrison's home in London. Final overdubs as well as
some additional writing/arranging was completed in July 2011 in
Jamaica, Iowa, where the band mixed alongside engineer Matt Sepanic
at Sound Farm Studio and Recording Environment. Mastering was
handled by renowned engineer Roger Siebel. The record was produced
