The best Opeth album doesn't have growls.

I like growls if they're done right... and, by golly, Mr Åkerfeldt is very good at growling.

Well, I think "Damnation" is very good.

I´ve had Heritage for quite a while now, and it completely fails to captivate me like every other Opeth album has done, at least to some extent. After a couple of tracks the album always comes off again. I´ve yet to finish the album in one spin. So far I´m bored to tears. It´ll probably be a couple of years before I can write a decent review of the album. Right now my disappointment is so big it´ll end up in an undeserved bashing. I still have hope it´ll open up to me. You know kinda like waking up from a nightmare.

Just how much of this album that will be metal is still unclear, but Arjen Lucassen just put up a track from his new solo album, and the amount of styles in this one track is just...wow.
