I think they do have more heavier songs. They did do a cover of Metallicas Damage Inc

From the video you posted of Funeral for a Friend I'd say no as well. It's pop-punk with a heavy edge to my ears.

Fall of a Troy is a no from me. Hardcore punk in the vein of the Mars Volta but hardly metallic. 
I'm not familiar with Funeral For a Friend, however. I'll check them out.
