Today, we have two talented symphonic death metal bands from the Mediterranean.  Which one is better?

Septic Flesh out of those two. The Great Mass is a much better album than Agony IMO.

You do realize that Septic Flesh has a back catalog right?

Of course, but I haven't heard their older stuff yet so I compared their 2011 releases, especially considering Fleshgod wasn't full on symphonic death on their first album.

I like both quite a bit, but Septic Flesh gets the nod from me.

Well, Septic Flesh is the first band I heard and liked with death-metal growls in it...and Fleshgod doesn't do anything for me, really - so easy vote.

I'm going to listen to a few more Septicflesh albums before making a decision, but I actually like Agony more than The Great Mass.

I'm still not super acquainted with Agony, but I currently enjoy The Great Mass more.

Septic Flesh is a great, solid band, but Agony has been in my car ever since it came out. I can't get enough of it.
