After delays due to Covid I'm pleased to say that at last the new Black Rose album WTF! is finished and will be released later this year.
Here's a taster of one of the 12 tracks recorded, Armageddon. https://www.facebook.com/Black-Rose-UK-342204575811420 |

After completing our new album WTF and signing with Pure Steel Records we have also had it remixed by Rob Romagna at Audiostahl Studios in Austria who has done a great job of adding more power and clarity to our original mixes.
Release date to be confirmed.

Our new album "WTF" will be released by Pure Steel Records on 24th June 2022. Not only is it a return to the heavier style of the bands early NWOBHM years but also our heaviest album to date.

Can't believe it's nearly 2 years since we released our last album.
In the studio next week to record the drums for our next album, as yet untitled but will feature 10 new songs that we can't wait to release.

Nice to hear you´re still active. I´ve only recorded at a studio a few times and did most of my recording in my bedroom on a tape recorder back in the day, but it´s always a daunting task when everything has to be perfect. Do you use modern recording technology or do you recorde one-takes live in the studio?

Sorry Jonas, just seen this. Yes we use modern technology but do a minimum amount of fiddling about. For my drums we try to get as near as possible and if there's a a couple of minor errors that aren't noticeable we'll just leave them but if a bit is better from another take we might nick it. I record to a click so all takes are exactly the same tempo.

Interesting. I´m always interested in learning more about recording techniques. Unfortunately I´m not that great with the whole new digital world, but I´m trying to learn if I can see an advantage. In the world of recording there are definitely advantages to learning how to record on a computer instead of recording on a tape recorder on the floor of your teenage room ...although it had its charms.

Me neither, I just go in the studio and play. Fortunately we have a great engineer who knows what he's doing.

Quite a bit to do yet Chris recording wise so won't be until next year, hopefully first half rather than second.
