My first time ever listening to this, somehow, even though I have heard Walls of Jericho before. Considering this is arguably the first Euro power metal release ever, it's really good stuff!

I thought it was about time I tried to understand the popularity of Slayer again. It's going better than before, but I am starting here with the album of theirs I've always had more success with. It remains to be seen if Reign in Blood will still just leave me feeling pissed off with it.

While I think when Henrik took over vocals Anubis Gate reached a sense of becoming 'how they were always meant to be' these two with Jacob Hansen on vocals are still their best two albums for me. Of course I'm also a sucker for concept albums. 

While I'm personally lucky to own all their albums on disc, it's bloody criminal how all of their work is out of print...including their latest album Interference which was only released in 2023.
