Not everything I'd hope it would be but far from ruins the original either. 

I just don't understand why, if they're going to re-record the album and put it out as a unique release, it doesn't have it's own artwork to go with it. The same band updated the art for the re-recording of their first album and that was only released as a bonus disc to Embraced by Fire. yet this just gets slapped with the original art with no distinction at all for the new version. Lazy and lame. And Blind Guardian has done exactly the same with with a Somewhere Far Beyond re-recording.

Probably the most pointless re-recording ever that will still sound fucking awesome because it's Blind Guardian but lets still how I feel about it upon its conclusion. Bias says that Somewhere Far Beyond is one album that really didn't need to be fucked with. 

I think I slightly prefer Moment over this, but these guys never miss, and this is no exception in the least.

I think I'm gonna start slowly listening to their albums I've never heard before, and revisiting albums I've only heard once or twice in the past. I was always scared off by the rough production on this album, but the actual songwriting is brilliant.
