Lots of good stuff there - picked Misþyrming over Mgla, Batushka and Peste Noire

I tend to agree, but it's one of those sitautions like with Chaple of Disease on the heavy metal poll. If it's on the chart I add it here.

To my ears Behemoth haven´t been Black metal since the first two albums. Sure there are some blackened elements, but IMO they play death metal.

RYM thinks that album is so black metal they've put it in both primary and secondary.

I don't think Behemoth consider Behemoth to be black metal any more either, but it IS RYM.

I don´t consider Behemoth Black metal. Maybe that´s why they get my vote

I do enjoy a bit of 'normal' BM, but I can't say there's anything I feel overly attached to here and most I haven't even heard. I did enjoy Mgla's Exercises in Futility but still find the act one of the most overrated of the current BM scene.

Behemoth. It's the only one there I know I've actually heard. Good thing it's a ripper of an album!

A new series of polls to try and take our minds off the pandemic. This one follows up on the last series by looking at genres without mixing all their sub-genres up. Black Metal will be the first focus of this series, as it has a lot of genre varients. This first poll will only take into account the base genre, Black Metal, again using RYM as a data source. There may still be releases in these polls of sub-genres if the case if that are tagged as both. Other hybrids with non-black genres can also be featured.
