^ Defenders Of The Faith is my personal favorite all time Priest album. It scratches all the itches and no throwaway tracks like most Priest album. Painkiller is a close second.

I only own 9 (10 if you count Panopticon as two). I didn't buy or even hear as much new music in 2018 as I usually do.

I bought far too many, over 70 2018 albums in total as well as some old stuff from other years, the number I'm not sure.

Same. I've read reviews with the opinion that it slags off towards the end, but I've never had that issue. I don't need the whole album sounding like "Freewheel Burning" the entire time to enjoy it. I am a fan of speedy stuff, but appreciate good ole' heavy metal/heavy rock when it's played well.

I own 12 of the top 100 and have listened to 21 of them.  I guess that means that most of the new albums that I own and listened to didn't make the list.

One I voted for which just made the third section of the top 100 that I hope more people check out is Sacral Rage - Beyond Celestial Echoes. It's a really good power/tech thrash album and a huge step up from 2015's Illusions In Infinite Void and also a change in direction from that album's mix of speed, heavy and prog metal, for the better.

In case there is any interest, PA has released their top prog album list of 2018.

A few from our list made their list.

Interesting list. I listen to less prog rock than I used to but there's a few on that list I'd be interested in hearing.

^^ That reminds me I meant to drop by over there and vote. Oh well. Don't think I'd have made much difference to the outcome. Some I'd like to check out there though.
