Although the rest of the CDs from my previous Amazon order haven't arrived yet (waiting on Deicide, Darkthrone, and BAN), I've placed another order:

(at $4.00 before shipping, was surprisingly cheap)

($6.00 new before shipping is also surprisingly cheap)

Black One by Sunn O))).  This will complete my collection of Sunn O)))'s full-lengths.

These two came in the other day.  Still waiting for Deicide and Darkthrone from my previous order.  I think I ordered them from an British store though so that might explain the longer time to get here.

I was actually in a metal purchasing mood this past weekend.

Had this one on vinyl for years.  Found it used and decided to upgrade to CD.

^ Nice Scott!

Some great albums, especially the Anvil ones.

Funny how you say you upgraded from vinyl to CD when I tell people I've upgraded from CD to vinyl LOL

I guess it is a matter of perspective.  I rarely listen to vinyl other than when I am converting them to digital.   I was never a big fan of the hisses and pops.  It doesn't help that my record player is not hooked up to a speaker system other than the speakers that are part of the unit.

Sure, I totally understand. We all have differing tastes. I was just pointing out the amusing difference between us.

I am lucky enough to have a megawatt system and a professional vinyl cleaning system to boot. Pops, hisses and crackles don't exist, just a wonderful warm and complete sound Big smile

I would love something digital with a sample rate so infinitely large that it just sounded imperceptible to analogue. Especially if you could turn on and off at will a truly accurate filter that gave the needle on vinyl on turning thing in wooden thing sound/feel.

This arrived.  Turns out it's a 2006 re-release from an Argentinian label called Icarus Music, but it's legit.
